Restaurant Die Seekiste in Westerland

The restaurant "Die Seekiste" is located at Käpt'n - Christiansen - Str. 9, in 25980 Sylt. This is an unpretentious eatery with a maritime décor that is known for North German dishes and fish dishes. The ambience and atmosphere is very pleasant there. I drank a nice beer there and ate a fillet of beef. Both were very delicious. In addition, there were really great guests. The staff is very friendly, helpful, socially competent and very valuable. I am happy to recommend this excellent address to others! The food was very tasty. Seafood very fresh and good quality. Reservations recommended!

We left before dinner. Although we had reserved, we were seated next to the open front door. Since, as the landlord said, he had to have a draft because of Covid-19 and therefore the windows were open, this table was not acceptable even with a jacket. That would have been a wasted evening with a cold.

Cozy. We sat at the bar. Pre-ordered duck very tasty.

On Wednesday evening the three of us dined in the sea chest. What was noticeable was the courteous service and a cozy, neat atmosphere. As a starter there was wild herb salad, which tasted excellent, as well as Sylt mussels in curry stock. This was also available as a main course and they tasted wonderful. We can highly recommend this restaurant and will visit again.

It was very tasty on Tuesday (duck evening!), The saddle of lamb was great too, we'll definitely be back!

Friendly staff and delicious food with creative details in the recipe. You should reserve early (only by phone), but if you are lucky you can spontaneously get a seat later in the evening.

The best mussels in curry stock. That alone is worth the visit. Always very, very friendly and attentive. Also the duck, which you can order in advance and only available on Tuesdays, is very, very good and crispy. We always look forward to the Seekiste when we are on Sylt.

We had a delicious meal here in July. Starter, main course (fish) and dessert couldn't be improved. The service is excellent. With the next Sylt vacation gladly again.

Delicious food. The scallops and the Wiener Schnitzel were first class. Fast, attentive service. Even the little things are right: there is a stack of freshly washed small towels on the toilet. We would love to come back.

Very cozy ...... very friendly and courteous service. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend this location. The turbot cutlet (wild game) with fried chanterelles and mashed potatoes with chives was awesome. The Labskaus is also recommended. At the end homemade red groats with vanilla ice cream ... delicious.

The food was very good. The duck was crispy on the outside and tender and juicy on the inside. The red cabbage was also homemade and delicious. The other dish also seemed to be very good. As a dessert there was also an unusual variety and even a chocolate pudding with egg liqueur was something special. The service was very friendly. All in all a successful dinner.

What a fantastic place to enjoy! Friendly service, very courteous and a very cozy atmosphere complete the events. The dishes are served with love and we enjoyed every second of feasting. We felt very comfortable and will always come back.
